How important is the UK in Europe?

Would science really suffer if the UK left the EU?
Not only science, but economy will have a big damage= problem to UK and EU.
If they look the better future, they should keep position. = If they look for  better future, they should stay in EU.  Also it is better to my country. haha

Is it better for a country to be part of a union or be totally independent?
I guess union is better but they will feel that it is bad now. Because they should help some poor countries. And they should permit to migrate of east European. So they will have some problems of unemployment = I guess union is better but eventually, they will feel that it is bad because they need to help some poor countries and they should permit migrants from east Europe, so becaus eof that, they will have some problems about high rate of unemployment.
