Yes, I think food defines a culture. There are two reasons why I think like that. At first, the food can be completed when proper ingredients were put into the food. Those ingredients were grown in the specific area that contain their own climate. This means that before the foods were imported and exported they were made according to the original circumstances. Therefore, the food includes and defines culture. Second, the food can be made when it follows proper making process. This making process were fixed by the people who lives in. Those people determined the method by reflecting how they live. For example, If the people live in hot and moist area, they should develop the way how to preserve their food without spoiling. Therefore, they made smoked food to conserve food long time. This method can be made because of their culture. For these reasons, I think food and culture have a tight connection.
