> What can you do to help the disabled people in your country?
- To help them to get a good education and a job so that they can live their own life in our society.
- To provide/support welfare facilities for their convenience.
- To pay pension or disability allowance(?) if they suffer from livelihood problem.
- To treat them equally accepting them as a member of society.
I think Koreans didn't get educated well on how to interact with the disabled people.
For example, how to build communication, which words are avoided to use, how to act, how volunteer.. etc.
That's why we have a mental distance with them.
So, I think one of the important steps is that we have to learn to remove this distance since early years by education or campaign. |
