What do you think is the greatest responsibility of a parent? Why?

When we were a baby, we alone can not survive without parent's aids. we cannot survive alone/  we cannot survive alone without our parent's help
Growing up, we still needed parent's advice on how to adjust to the society.
In my opinion, the greatest responsibility of a parent is to support their kid with love
before the kid alone open the door toward to the adult world.
