  Since Korea has been influenced by the Confucian culture, we tend to consider ethics more important than other countries. So when it comes to work ethics, there are lots of unseen but strict rules. Most of all, people should be punctual. The lower their position is, the faster they should come to the office. Those things happen in quitting time as well. People holding lower position cannot get off work as long as their superiors leave work. Thus they have to wait until their superiors finish their work even if they've got nothing to do. How inefficient and meaningless those things are!
