Is lying a crime?
we cannot simply say 'lying is a crime'.
whether lying is a crime or not depends on situation, which can need for us to tell a lie.
for instance, If Your intimate friend runs to your home and say 'Some murderer is following me, so please hide me your house and tell a lie to The murderer.', You cannot help telling a lie.
This is philosophical thing. According to German philosopher Kant, There is ABSOLUTE moral rule in the world or beyond the world(we call it 'IDEA'), which is constant and not changed wherever, whenever, whoever. Otherwise, existentialists like French philosopher Jean Paul Sartre said that ethics are RELATIVE and can be different by situations, places and ages. and I agree with The latter.
so I can't answer this question easily. |
