A microwave oven is one of my (the) most useful household gadgets I have.

It is manufactured by LG and my parents bought it 35 years ago. When my parents got married, they purchased it since it was one of the most popular electric home appliances among people. = When my parents got married, they purchased it since it was one of the most popular electric home appliances back then. Although there are a lot of marks and scratches on the surface, it is still in my house because it was (is) the most beneficial item to our family.

If we have a meal, Especially, need to make warm or unfreeze, we can easily cook by using it. = When we prepare food, especially  when we need to warm or defrost food, we can easily do so using the microwave.
Besides, it has changed our everyday life. Most people including our family members lead very busy lives because of work and study in modern society. Thus, a microwave oven is very functional and advantageous tool to solve people’s limited mealtimes.

There are a couple of reasons why it is essential to me.
A microwave oven is not only a memorable item but an essential gadget as well. (this is a bit redundant now) We sometimes spend a lot of time on (in) cooking but it helps us to cook easily as well as conveniently. And we don’t have to go to the trouble of washing up after having a dinner cooked in a microwave. Above all things, it is a priceless and sentimental item for our (to my) parents since it is very old. Due to those (these) reasons, is has become an important appliance for my daily life.
