Nevertheless, I believe that no one has the right to force students into studying only typical majors. First of all, no one can predict which major will be promoted in the future. In modern society, science and technology have a strong influence on mankind but we cannot make sure these impact could maintain their influences in the future but culture is linked to humans¡¯ soul. Therefore, it has a timeless characteristic. It means even the time flown in the future it would remain its value and be engraved our soul. Moreover, when it comes to the role of governments, they should offer entertainments to people in order to generate more demand. Thus, cultures and arts would be one way to stimulate domestic people¡¯s economic activity including foreigners. For example, these intangible resources are easy to attract people¡¯s attention due to people¡¯s desire for getting more fresh experiences. In other words, it can flourish in their tourism that directly linked with the prosperity of a nation.
In conclusion, there are convincing arguments both for and against choosing a major at university. But I am convinced that studying majors regardless of practical use would be the best choices for our society. |
