Watching tv
People have different views about whether children should be allowed to watch TV or not for an educational purpose. However, I believe that watching TV involves a vast amount of benefits on children¡¯s education if there is a proper guidance from parents and teachers.
It seems obvious that we can get a lot of information through watching TV. To be specific, children can use this digital gadget in order to obtain a knowledge about many parts of the world. Admittedly, there are some educational and informative channels that can broaden children¡¯s horizon. As a matter of the fact, it is extremely difficult for children to memorize all historical events by using a traditional way of teaching. However, TV could offer spontaneous visual materials such as photos and videos and these contents are more likely to motivate or boost their studies compare to its counterparts. Furthermore, TV can alleviate the polarization of education opportunities between rich and poor. In the other words, fortunately, in Korea, it is not rare to see various education programmes that are operated by the government and these programmes provide a high quality of supplementary tuitions for students without any payments. Accordingly, watching TV contains a bulk of benefits on enhancing children¡¯s academic performances. |
