Yes, I think it's possible.

Because ways of communication are various. = there are various ways of communicating with other people.

For example, I can pretend to be dumb.

I can get people's money use of sympathy's gesture. = I can use gestures that arouse sympathy, by doing so, people can give me money.  (or I can get people's money by deceiving them.)
