Hi! My name is Mialyn E. Peralta, but you can just call me Teacher Mia. I took Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Major in English. During my first two years of school teaching, I felt so grateful to my mom that she incited me to take this profession. Who will not going to love those children who needed your guidance? It's an honor to be called "the second mother" in a form of a teacher who will be a part of their growth and development. You might be thinking now that I'm a serious-boring-type of person because of what I said earlier, but unfortunately, I'm not. Allow me to give you a walk-through about my high spirited side. Outside of work, I like to engage in my personal activities such as reading manga and novels, watching Asian or American movies, and playing video games in different available consoles at home or at malls. I also love raising pets! In fact, I have 4 cats, 2 dogs and a chicken at home, but please don't mistook me as a farmer. |

I had been an ESL tutor since 2012 both personal and online. Being an ESL tutor has some minor differences compare to being a classroom teacher. For instance, I'm just teaching one or two students at a time that's why I can focus on certain skills that need some careful attention. Another one, they can learn and improve easily because I can listen and pay close attention to my ESL students to make sure that I'm using the right teaching method for them. Lastly, I treat them as my friend to make sure that they understand every lesson I give them because I make them feel the freedom of asking questions and not just nodding in accordance. My passion for teaching always motivates students to have passion for learning and improving the English language, too. |

I took up BA Philosophy at the University of the Philippines, one of the top universities in the country. I chose this major as a Pre-Law course in hope that I can be a lawyer someday. I started teaching during my last year in college as I was hired as a tutor for grade school students. In 2007, right after I finished my studies, I was hired as an ESL Teacher by a company under Daekyo. I initially helped very young students get acquainted with the English language through story books. As my previous company expanded, so did our clientele. I then taught Koreans of different ages and levels from all walks of life.
Being a mother to three young kids, I became very patient in teaching as I know each person is unique and has to be treated as such. And though English is not thenative language in my country, my children are all fluent English speakers.
This is what I hope to achieve with you, too. It would be both my pleasure and fun to instruct you with the intricacies and nuances of the English language. Hope to see you soon! |

My hobbies include reading, swimming, doing yoga, singing and listening to music. I am also very fond of Literature, Psychology and History. Hi, I'm Laine! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and I have been teaching Korean and Japanese students since 2014. I have experienced both face-to-face and online classes, and I can safely say I have taught students from all ages - the youngest would be 2 years old and the oldest are already in their 60's. With this I can easily recognize the student's strengths and areas he/she needs to improve on and adjust the lesson accordingly.
Most of my students would describe me as a lively and humorous teacher, and that I'm a good listener. Aside from free talk conversations, I also specialize in grammar, writing, and other fundamentals of English. |

Before becoming an English teacher, I was a researcher, later on promoted as a segment producer for 3 years in a huge television station in the Philippines. I thought I was realizing my dream of being a writer back then, but with some unfortunate events which turned out to be a blessing in disguise, I landed a career in English teaching and since then I never wanted anything else. I found happiness and a great sense of fulfillment in this career.
Outside work I love trying out different things and hobbies. I believe in the saying "I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret things I haven't." So in my younger years I was involved in theater, school newspaper, and cosplaying activities. I was even a member of rock band! Can you imagine that? Recently, I'm into cooking and vlogging.
