I grew up watching American TV shows and movies with my sisters and this is what I think enhanced my English speaking skills, but my love for reading and books honed my vocabulary more. I believe in the saying that "Reading brings knowledge and knowledge is power." These stories we read in books can inspire us to reach high, love deep, change the world.

Good day! I am Teacher April. I remember when I was younger, I used to play pretend and play as a teacher, I enjoy acting as a teacher to my imaginary students. I guess it stuck with me. In College, I studied Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, I also took a vocational course in English Proficiency.
I have been a Freelance English Teacher to foreign students since 2020. My first students were Japanese, but I also had a chance to teach Chinese and Korean students. I am teaching English because it makes me happy to help foreign students achieve their goal of learning and understanding a new language. I am an introvert, but it feels different when I am talking with my students during classes. I enjoy their company and the stories that they share make me feel I gained a friend online. Hi, my name is Ariane, and teaching has always been my dream, which then turned into my passion. I completed my Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. As an educator, I believe teaching literacy is not just the sole purpose of our profession; rather, it is also about helping the learners develop world-related and social-related skills, empathy, and self-reliance. These are also our responsibilities. I have been working as a full-time elementary SPED and science teacher since 2018 and as an ESL tutor since 2020. I also previously worked at an international school in the Philippines for more than 4 years and helped students of different nationalities and with diverse needs develop their love for learning. As an educator, it gives me immense happiness whenever I see my students¡¯ progress and when they are able to put into practice what they have learned.
