During the pandemic, I decided to pursue my master's degree majoring in English Language. With that, I was able to build my career and skills in Teaching English to non-native speakers. It’s quite challenging but all I can say is that if you love doing something you’ll get it done! And here I am, enjoying the field of teaching for quite some time now. During my college days, I’ve been having tutoring sessions handling different students of various nationalities. Gray Hi there. My name is Teacher Gray. It has always been my desire to create an impact on people's lives and teaching English has been one of the avenues to fulfill that. I've been teaching English since 2015. I have worked with English learners from different walks of life, with different ages, personalities, and cultures. This role taught me how to handle people and cater to their needs and satisfaction in learning where they could apply in their daily lives. Ira Hello there English learners. I'm teacher Ira, I took up Bachelor of Science in Psychology in the Holy Name University in Bohol. I've been teaching English as Second Language to Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Russian students since 2019 in Cebu. In my spare time I like to hang out with my friends and family, play sports, watch anime, and read books. As an ESL teacher I’ve come across people with different levels of English communications skills. Throughout the experience, I was able to develop my patience as well as my people skills. I love seeing students achieve goals they never imagine they could achieve, and I am the most happy seeing them transform into individuals they always aspired to be. I believe that everything is achievable as long as you put your heart in it. I am excited to get to know you and look forward to all the learning we'll be doing together this year!

Jade Hi! My name is Teacher Jade. I have a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship which I can help you with when we are discussing business English. That being said, I have established a food business with my friends. During my spare time, I go to the beach, watch American and Korean series with my family, and read books. I love connecting with people while learning new things every day. Formerly, I was a Customer Service Representative working for an international company, where I honed my English skills. From there, I have been an ESL Teacher since 2022. I have been teaching Koreans and Vietnamese students across all age groups. My passion is making English learning enjoyable and engaging, not difficult or boring. I have also started in my masters program in Business Administration. I have been in Sales and Marketing since 2010. I was promoted to management since 2014. When I am not working on my fulltime job, I also host professionally. I started hosting professionally since 2005. I even hosted a local TV show for two years in my 20's. Learning a new language may be difficult to a lot of people, but just like any other skill, it takes hardwork, patience, and a lot of practice to become great. jayvee Hi everyone! My name is Jayvee. I’m from the Philippines and currently residing in Manila. I’m 31 years old, married and a mother to 2 adorable boys who happens to be twins. Yes they’re twins. I guess twinning runs in the family. Anyway, in my days off I usually stay home and spend some quality time with my boys. They love drawing, watching Disney films, eating pancakes and dancing. I try to be a hands-on mom as much as possible because kids these days grow up so quickly. For all we know, they’re grown ups already. I also enjoy traveling. It relaxes me and gives me comfort. I get to learn and experience different things; usually things that I haven’t thought of doing or trying. And I guess most Koreans can relate because you guys are well traveled. I’m also into cooking. I’m kind of adventurous when it comes to trying different cuisines. I can cook American, Japanese, Korean and Thai dishes. But my favorite is Italian food. My kids and I enjoy pasta, pizza and gelato. Regarding my experience in teaching ESL, I’ve been doing this for eight years already. At first, I thought I wouldn’t be that engaged to the job as much as I am now because my major was totally different. I studied Information Technology which was far from teaching English, especially to foreign students. But as they say, once you’re passionate about something, you will excel on it. And I believe passion is what made me last in this kind of work. Not only that, I get to have this sense of fulfillment whenever I see my students grow and learn through my teaching. Studying English shouldn’t scare non-English speakers because I tell you this is not scary at all. You just have to put your heart in it. Focus and have fun while studying English. You can still learn and enjoy at the same time without worrying about your knowledge. And that’s what I want to impart to my students. Learning is fun. That’s why it’s called, Happy English! ^^

I have been teaching English for almost 8 and half years for Korean students. My major is not a hindrance for me to pursue my dreams to teach English. I love teaching and English language as well. Recently, I started to take TESOL to hone not only my skills in English but teaching as well. My goal is to motivate students to be confident to study English without fear.
