Janet
Hi ! I am teacher Janet and I come from the beautiful city of Baguio. I took up Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and well, I have had several jobs after graduation but I decided to pursue this career of teaching because it's more fun and I think it's more worthwhile. Well, in my spare time I basically like cooking, playing music and watching my favorite talk shows.
I have been teaching English for more than five years now and I have handled different levels of students from ordinary students to professionals, actually from different walks of life. I believe the experience I've earned in those years will further help me become more capable to different learning requirements of students. I always make it a point to engage my students in class and I always try to customize my teaching style based on the need of the student. I believe learning English should be fun. Well, what are you waiting for, I'll see you in my class. Have a great day!
jayvee
Hi everyone! My name is Jayvee. I’m from the Philippines and currently residing in Manila. I’m 31 years old, married and a mother to 2 adorable boys who happens to be twins. Yes they’re twins. I guess twinning runs in the family. Anyway, in my days off I usually stay home and spend some quality time with my boys. They love drawing, watching Disney films, eating pancakes and dancing. I try to be a hands-on mom as much as possible because kids these days grow up so quickly. For all we know, they’re grown ups already. I also enjoy traveling. It relaxes me and gives me comfort. I get to learn and experience different things; usually things that I haven’t thought of doing or trying. And I guess most Koreans can relate because you guys are well traveled. I’m also into cooking. I’m kind of adventurous when it comes to trying different cuisines. I can cook American, Japanese, Korean and Thai dishes. But my favorite is Italian food. My kids and I enjoy pasta, pizza and gelato.
Regarding my experience in teaching ESL, I’ve been doing this for eight years already. At first, I thought I wouldn’t be that engaged to the job as much as I am now because my major was totally different. I studied Information Technology which was far from teaching English, especially to foreign students. But as they say, once you’re passionate about something, you will excel on it. And I believe passion is what made me last in this kind of work. Not only that, I get to have this sense of fulfillment whenever I see my students grow and learn through my teaching. Studying English shouldn’t scare non-English speakers because I tell you this is not scary at all. You just have to put your heart in it. Focus and have fun while studying English. You can still learn and enjoy at the same time without worrying about your knowledge. And that’s what I want to impart to my students. Learning is fun. That’s why it’s called, Happy English! ^^

I will also help you in improving your sentences, correct every mispronounce words and getting familiar with the new vocabulary words while having the confidence in speaking. So, don't talk but act, don't say but show up and don't promise but prove. Prove to me that you can also be the master of the English language. See you in my class.

I started working as an English teacher at Happyenglish in November at the same year until I decided to shift work in June 2018... that was to practice my profession in a formal classroom setting. I also worked there as an English teacher for one academic year...and now, with the new teaching experiences I gained from that school, I'm back to working at Happyenglish. I'm really looking forward to learning more about Korean culture while teaching English at the same time.
